Basic Painting and Decorating Course
The Valley of Hope Project conducts initial training programmes based around basic painting and decorating skills. The training courses are conducted in one of the beneficiary’s homes and held over a period of four days.
Training
Prior to taking up any training the beneficiary’s are
shown a Power Point Presentation on Health and
Safety in the work place. This presentation has been
developed by our Deputy Manager, Paul Jones, who
conducts the training programmes. The beneficiary’s
are asked to give feedback and answer various
questions relating to safety within the work environment.
Social Interaction
It is evident that all who complete these courses benefit in a number of ways including:
Developing higher self-esteem
Improving their confidence
Learning new skills
Future
This is an important step that may contribute to
trainees looking at further options available to
them to develop their skills further.
The Valley of Hope Project works closely with
a number of voluntary organizations within the
community and we are available to
make referrals on our client’s behalf.
