Food bank
The Valley of Hope is pleased to be partnering with ACTS Community Church and Blaencwm chapel in running Food Bank in the Rhondda. Acts have taken the lead in this but Blaencwm chapel will be a distribution point in the Upper Rhondda supported by the Valley of Hope project.
Food Bank is set up to give emergency food to people in extreme need with no money for food and is able to provide three days of nutritious food.
People are referred from other agencies one being ourselves and are given a voucher to take to the Food Bank, upon arrival people are given something to eat and drink and while one person puts together a food parcel another talks to the person trying to ascertain what other needs they have.

supporting this work through a separate charity set up for this work called Valleys
of Hope.
Due to the famine in Nekemte we have been supporting sixty orphans with food and
clothing, we are now looking to set up micro businesses with some of the guardians
of the children
